The Sanctity of Life
All human life is sacred because we are made in the image of the Triune God of love. Is it moral and ethical to end human life? Does anyone have the right to take a life? What does the Bible teach concerning hatred, murder, just and unjust wars? In addition to sample catechetical lessons on the Fifth Commandment, this year's symposium will also explore a wide variety of bioethical issues that Christians are facing in our contemporary society, including questions related to infertility and abortion, stem cell research, euthanasia, and end of life decisions. |
